FASHION--laura laine

.Laura Laine is a Helsinki based illustrator. After completing her studies in fashion design she has been working full-time as an illustrator. She is also teaching fashion illustration in various fashion schools.
Her recent clients include Vogue Japan, Vogue Germany, Sephora, Elle, Zara, H&M, The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Guardian, GAP, I.T. store, Telegraph and Daniel Palillo. She has also exhibited in London, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Rugby and Helsinki

 

Laura is one of my favurite illustrators.She draws with pencils, ink and markers and finally retouch the image in Photoshop. I love her unique girly and fancy style of twisted-bodied and flowing-hair

girls.

For her the most important ingredient for being a fashion illustrator is a sense of wonder.Fanciful, good-humored and anxious are the expressions I know how to make use of relating Laura Laine’s fashion illustration works. Laura always loved to make drawings and felt comfortable designing costumes, during her studies; she made many exclusive fashion illustrations as a brilliant combination of love and interest I fashion. She did full-time job at the very beginning itself only because of her most interest in drawing.

  Laura likes the work of Edward Gorey and Harry Clarke the most. At first she used to work out the sketches in black & white color but nowadays she likes to invent more colorful designs. She had so much amusing working with photographer Nicolas Clerc for Muse magazine. They shared and took photos on accessory stories for the girls with various images

  Laura’s wonderful nature exists in a vague mean world of fashion, illustration and art. This was the susceptibility and capture of runny movement that creates Laura to do her work so admirable and outstanding. Laura works without help of others but as well as works in partnership with photographers, stylists and art directors.
Laura’s drawing style is great and not so conscious about; she simply makes working in her illustration, painting what she feels like at the moment. Recently it’s been twisted-bodied girls with a depressed attitude.

“Fashion is impressive I discover enormously inspiring and like to stay as an aspect of my work, but I have not at all be apologetic of giving up the genuine designing” is her very famous words

 

FASHION -Spiros Halaris

Spiros Halaris is a multi-disciplinary illustrator who has collaborated on major commercial projects with fashion houses and magazines whilst creating independently fine artworks that are translated in many different media.
  He started out as a graphic designer and then progressed, initially self-taught, into more illustrative fields.His inspirations vary greatly. he usually find inspiration in anything visually intriguing; a vase, a billboard or a button. In everyday life, graphics catch his eye more often than art. Graphics dominate our lives so chances are that there will be at least one inspiring or intriguing item in the daily pile of visual information that we consume.As a first step he will usually research thoroughly the subject that he want to illustrate. Then he will usually find a detail that grasps my attention and  will start from there.
 His style is a minimalist play of deconstructive elements that altogether construct a dramatic pop aesthetic with vibrant colours and graphics.he use digital tools but also some handmade elements
In his mind good graphic art should be bold, striking and memorable.
His studio looks like a newsagent’s because apart from the desk spaces, the rest of the area is filled with magazines and books that I’ve collected over the years.
He had the opportunity to collaborate with the Design Museum and the Christian Louboutin exhibition a couple of months ago and he really proud of the work that came out of it.

rene gruau--fashion Illustrator

René Gruau (4 February 1909 – 31 March 2004) Born Renato Zavagli Ricciardelli delle Caminate in Rimini, Italy, on February 4, 1909, Gruau was the son of an Italian count but instead of following in his father's footsteps and accepting the job of royal military commander his passion and inclination for arts led him to a love and pursuance of fine arts.When René's mother, Maria Gruau, a French aristocrat, and his father separated when he was three, he moved to Paris with her. Gruau then took his mother's last name, which is the name he is known by, opposed to his father's last name and royal connection. At 14, Gruau began to support his mother and himself by selling drawings to the Milanese fashion journal Lidel.He demonstrated talent for drawing throughout much of his early life and worked as an illustrator for fashion magazines such as Femina, Marie Claire and Vogue in Paris in his teens and early 20s. Gruau found it difficult to find work during World War II and ultimately found little work for small or unestablished designers such as Christian Dior before he became popular during this time. He worked as he could and contributed to the concealment of Jewish refugees.

  rene gruau was a renowned fashion illustrator whose exaggerated portrayal of fashion design through painting has had a lasting effect on the fashion industry . Because of his skills and creativity, contributed to a change in the entire fashion industry through the new pictures that represented the already popular designs created by designers in the industry.
  Fashion Illustration is a field in which the best and most creative artists enter to promote the sale and growth of the fashion industry^.René Gruau is one of the most well known and best fashion Illustrators known due to his flair and unique approach. Fashion Illustration is a huge part of the marketing approach the fashion industry takes in the promotion of its product. Without illustrators such as Gruau the fashion industry as a whole would be far less successful. With his new style of art and fashion, Gruau reshaped marketing for the fashion industry forever and has set the scene for marketing for this industry for many years to come. Fashion Illustration has been around for nearly 500 years^.Not only do fashion illustrations show a representation or design of a garment, but they also served as a form of art.
  René gruau loves women. fashion Illustrator --David Downton

David Downton was born in 1959 in kent, England. He studied at Canterbury .His images have appeared in newspapers and magazines all over the world.Commercial clients include Tiffany's New York, SAKS 5th Avenue, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Burberry, and the British Fashion Council.

  For david downton work the most important thing is the sense of the body in the clothes. After that, proportion, colour, a detail. Anything can catch the eye - but what is interesting in fashion terms isn't necessarily what makes a good drawing and vice versa. He use the very simple lines to create the alive character. He also very hardworking ! His woeking method is the hardest and the most interesting.In order to leave something out, first  have to put it in, or at least understand how every thing works.He did dozens of drawings on to layout paper taking the best from each one as he went.When the drawing looks right then he started to eliminate.He keeps working until it looks spontaneous is his working methods .
  For the color apply It depends on the result he want to achieve and what is most appropriate to the subject. he used watercolour or gouache for small scale pieces. If he need flat saturated colour then he use cut paper collage and then apply line using an acetate overlay. By the way he use black Indian ink on acetate or paper for the pure lines drawing in order to make the outlayers more alive!
  From his illustration we can know he escape from the world of style .He use the special way to create the unique drawings .

The famous illustrator-- Kveta Pacovska

 Kveta Pacovska is a famous illustrator about children range .Pacovska was born in Prague and studied at its School of Applied Arts, where she mainly worked in graphic art, arts, conceptual art and artist book fields. She began to illustration creation in hers 50. In addition to illustrating nearly sixty books, Ms. Pacovská has held numerous one-women shows and regularly takes part in international art exhibitions. Fittingly, she received the Hans Christian Andersen Medal for children’s book illustration in 1992.

this illustration is from （The Little Flower King）. It is very colorul and everybody wear the colorful  cloth with the turgidly emotion. It created with very brightly and simple lines. Among the pacovska's picture . All the complicated story is the fifth wheel of a coach .The color already was a best story!The main color is red. It can show the story is very alive and dramatic. On the other hand can attract many children's sight .

this illustration is from ( Cinderella ) It includes texts, collages and sketches. Even though Cinderella must disappear at midnight, this book will remain in your library for a longtime: it emphasizes and embellishes the timelessness of this rich, modern, everlasting and exciting story. In this book it includes many details .Especially for the high heels . It got many style and combian with the human face . Just simple lines but shows a very intersting story and many details

this is only use black and white color. However the lines are very clearly and character's emotion is alive .Her unique style and unparalleled skill in creating books that fire the imagination and entice wonder in children of all ages has won her international acclaim. Suitable for children, this title offers an adventure through the magical world of colour even in black !
